Five-Hour Plan
With this option, students and families can benefit from five hours of my services in any way that makes sense for them. This time can include in-person consulting, list building, research, and/or written feedback on essays. Here are some ways we might use this plan:
launching the process with a conversation about the ins and outs of admissions, an overview of what to do when, discussions about curriculum choices and extracurricular activities, and any other concerns and questions that students and families may have
directed counseling about high school course selection and standardized testing planning
the creation of a potential college list based on the student’s academic profile, interests, and priorities, as well as family priorities (cost, geography, etc.)
support through the process of researching and visiting colleges
coaching for students students on how to approach the Common Application essay, supplements, and/or any other components, including videos and portfolios
guidance on transfer applications, post-graduate year applications, high school semester away programs, and summer programs.
